Med-Surg RN (Adult & Pediatric) - Fort Defiance, AZ
Shift: 12-Hour Day Shift (Flexible)
Weekly hours: 36 hrs

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and adaptable Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality care to both adult, geriatric, and pediatric patients in a 20-bed Medical-Surgical Unit. This role requires strong clinical skills, flexibility, and the ability to work in a dynamic environment with excellent staffing ratios to ensure optimal patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions across adult and pediatric populations
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders
• Develop and implement individualized patient care plans
• Provide patient and family education on treatment and recovery
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Float to other units as needed and assist with patient care or support tasks
• Participate in staff meetings and maintain compliance with facility policies
• Support additional assignments such as flu immunization clinics when required

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of Med-Surg experience
• At least 1 year of pediatric experience
• Must be comfortable caring for both adult and pediatric patients
• Flexibility to work days, nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts
• BLS (AHA)
• ACLS (AHA)
• PALS 

Additional Information:

• Travelers may float to other departments based on competency
• Typical schedule alternates between 36 and 48 hours per week, plus up to 1 on-call shift weekly
