Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) – Inpatient OB/GYN to provide high-quality maternal and newborn care within a fast-paced inpatient clinical environment. The RN will support labor, delivery, postpartum care, and obstetric emergency management while ensuring compliance with clinical standards and federal healthcare regulations.
 

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive inpatient nursing care for OB/GYN patients, including labor, delivery, and postpartum units
• Monitor maternal and fetal conditions and respond promptly to clinical changes
• Assist physicians and obstetric teams during labor, delivery, and related procedures
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and prescribed treatments safely and accurately
• Document patient care thoroughly and maintain accurate medical records in EHR systems
• Identify and manage obstetric emergencies in collaboration with the care team
• Coordinate patient care with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals
• Ensure adherence to facility policies, safety protocols, and regulatory standards
• Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives

Required Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in any U.S. state
• Minimum 2–3 years of recent Inpatient OB/GYN experience
• Strong background in labor & delivery and postpartum nursing care
• Proficiency in Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems
• Ability to work rotating shifts including days, nights, weekends, and holidays

Required Certifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) – Mandatory
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) – Mandatory
• Additional OB/GYN or maternal care certifications (preferred or as required by facility)
