Position Summary
The RN – Inpatient OB/GYN will provide high-quality nursing care to patients in labor, delivery, and postpartum units. The role requires strong clinical judgment, the ability to handle obstetric emergencies, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care in OB/GYN inpatient unit
- Monitor maternal and fetal conditions and respond to changes
- Assist physicians during labor, delivery, and procedures
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Maintain accurate documentation in Electronic Health Records (EHR)
- Coordinate care with physicians and healthcare teams
- Ensure compliance with clinical standards and federal regulations
- Participate in quality assurance and patient safety initiatives
Required Qualifications
Experience
- Minimum 2–3 years of recent Inpatient OB/GYN experience
Licensure
- Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license (any U.S. state)
Certifications (Required)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- Any OB/GYN-specific certifications as required by facility
Required Skills
- Experience in Labor & Delivery and Postpartum care
- Ability to manage obstetric emergencies
- Proficiency in Electronic Health Records (EHR)
- Strong clinical assessment and patient coordination skills
