Position Summary

The RN – Inpatient OB/GYN will provide high-quality nursing care to patients in labor, delivery, and postpartum units. The role requires strong clinical judgment, the ability to handle obstetric emergencies, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care in OB/GYN inpatient unit
• Monitor maternal and fetal conditions and respond to changes
• Assist physicians during labor, delivery, and procedures
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Maintain accurate documentation in Electronic Health Records (EHR)
• Coordinate care with physicians and healthcare teams
• Ensure compliance with clinical standards and federal regulations
• Participate in quality assurance and patient safety initiatives

Required Qualifications

Experience

• Minimum 2–3 years of recent Inpatient OB/GYN experience

Licensure

• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license (any U.S. state)

Certifications (Required)

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• Any OB/GYN-specific certifications as required by facility

Required Skills

• Experience in Labor & Delivery and Postpartum care
• Ability to manage obstetric emergencies
• Proficiency in Electronic Health Records (EHR)
• Strong clinical assessment and patient coordination skills
