Position Overview

• Position: Home Health RN Facility: Carilion Clinic Home Care
• Location: Roanoke, VA (Includes Roanoke City, Roanoke County, Salem, and surrounding rural areas)
• Shift: Day 5x8-Hour (08:00 - 17:00), Monday - Friday 

Scheduling and Expectations

• Daily Volume: Average of 6 visits per day.
• Charting: EPIC and OASIS experience required.
• Floating: Based in Roanoke but may float to other regional offices as needed.
• Holidays: Travelers are required to work at least 1 holiday per 13-week assignment (2 holidays if the contract includes Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year's).
• Call Off: Facility reserves the right to call off 1 shift per 2-week period.

Clinical Requirements

• Experience: 2+ years of Home Health experience.
• Licensure: Active Virginia or Compact RN/LPN license. (Single-state license from non-compact state accepted if pending VA licensure).
• Certifications: BLS.
• Clinical Skills:
  • General: Admission assessment, case management, discharge, recertification, transfer, standard visit.
  • Infusion/IV: Peripheral IVs, central lines, ports, phlebotomy, IV starts.
  • Respiratory: Chest tubes, nebulizers, oxygen administration, trach care.
  • GI/GU: Colostomy/ileostomy care, feeding tubes, G-site/NG tube care, suprapubic/urinary catheter insertion/care.
  • Medications: Intradermal, IM, IV infusions, PCA pump, subcutaneous, pain scales.
