Description
We are currently seeking an experienced PCU RN for a 13-week night shift travel assignment at a busy Acute Care facility. This is a great opportunity for nurses with strong telemetry and respiratory care experience, and first-time travelers are welcome to apply.
Position Details:
• Shift: 12-Hour Nights
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Schedule: 36 hours/week available
• Patient Ratio: 1:4-5 on a mixed acuity Med Surg/PCU unit
• In high census situations, ratios may increase to 1:6
• Floating required to like units
• Weekend requirement: 4 weekend shifts every 6 weeks, additional weekends may be required based on staffing needs
Requirements:
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Experience with IV starts, telemetry, vents, CPAP/BiPAP, and dysrhythmia interpretation/management required
• ACLS and BLS required
• NIHSS preferred
• Locals accepted
Special Equipment & Skills:
• Chest tubes
• Trachs
• Vents
• BiPAP/CPAP
• Drip management including Dopamine, Cardizem, and Heparin
Additional Notes:
• Unit currently cares for COVID-19 positive patients
• Maximum 7 days RTO allowed for auto offer eligibility
• Travelers must be comfortable floating to similar units as needed
