Description
Job Summary
Experienced Oncology RN needed for a 26-week outpatient oncology assignment. The ideal candidate will have recent oncology experience, strong patient care skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced specialty clinic environment. Candidates must have worked in the submitted oncology specialty within the last 3 months.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to oncology patients
- Administer and monitor oncology treatments and medications
- Assess patient conditions and monitor treatment responses
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, and symptom management
- Collaborate with oncologists and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records
- Ensure compliance with patient safety standards and oncology care protocols
Requirements
- Active RN License in state of practice required
- BLS certification required
- ONS Certification required
- Minimum 1 year of oncology nursing experience required
- Must have recent experience in the submitted oncology specialty within the last 3 months
