Position Information:
• Facility Department/Cost Center: ARU 529G/ Speech Language Pathology
• Role (RN, Tech, LPN, PT, etc.): Speech Language Pathologist
• Specialty:
• Number of Openings: 1
• Shift: Day
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 30
• Weekend Hours: none
• Call Requirements: none
• Required Certifications: BLS
• Years of Experience: preferred greater than 2, unable to take CFY.
• Float Requirements: to inpatient acute care (adult)
• Additional Notes: Prefer experience with dysphagia, bed side swallow exams, MBVSS, Rehab CARE/QIM scoring
Unit Information:
• Number of Beds: 10 (transitioning to 14 by end of 2026)
• Patient Ratios: 5-10 patients
• Equipment:
• EHR: Cerner
• Supervisor: Chris Brown
• Patient Population e.g. “geriatric, adult, peds, etc.”: Adult, geriatric
Hiring Profile:
• Must Have Skills/Experience: dysphagia, bed side swallow exams
• Preferred Skillset/Experience: Video Swallow Study experience
• Common Diagnosis/Treatment: CVA, TBI, Other Neuro, Debility, COPD, Altered Mental Status
• Personality Fit: Strong team collaboration, good communication skills with multiple disciplines.
• Required Education: Licensure and CCC
Dress Code:
• Scrub Color: NA, can wear scrubs but not required. We do not have a scrub color, solid scrubs are acceptable
• Any unacceptable attire: no open toe shoes, shirts/sweatshirts with print, limited use of jeans (you can wear jeans on Fridays).
