Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery
Location: Athens, Tennessee
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Weekly Hours: 36 hours
Shift: See shift details (not specified)
Weekend Hours: Every other weekend / as needed
Call Requirements: As needed
Patient Population: All ages
Unit Information
- Department: Labor & Delivery
- Float Requirements: Must be willing to float to Postpartum as needed
- Electronic Health Records (EHR): MedHost, Centricity Perinatal
- Patient Ratios and Number of Beds: Not specified
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee
- Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience, including experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Required Certifications prior to start:
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- AWHONN (Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- HWC (Hospital Workforce Certification)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- Must be checked against the Tennessee Abuse Registry prior to assignment start
Candidate Profile
- Must have experience and confidence to work independently
- Professional and team-oriented personality
- Dress code: Any scrub color allowed; no camouflage or non-facility logo apparel except for facility-branded items
Additional Notes
- Orientation occurs bi-weekly on Mondays
- Candidates must be located 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify as travel staff
