Position Overview:
Seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse to provide high-quality, patient-centered hospice care in a home-based setting. This role focuses on supporting patients and families through end-of-life care by delivering comprehensive nursing services, managing symptoms, and coordinating with the interdisciplinary care team to ensure comfort, dignity, and quality of life.

Schedule & Work Details:

• Location: Field-based role serving Northwest Arkansas (Sebastian, Logan, Crawford, Franklin, Scott, and Yell counties)
• Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Weekly Hour Guarantee: 32 hours
• On-Call Requirements: Participation in backup on-call rotation
• Mileage Reimbursement: Per agency policy
• Pay Rate: $51 to $53 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide skilled hospice nursing care in accordance with physician orders and individualized plans of care
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and ongoing evaluations to monitor symptom management and disease progression
• Develop, implement, and update care plans in collaboration with physicians and the interdisciplinary team
• Manage pain and symptoms to ensure patient comfort and quality of life
• Provide emotional support and education to patients and families regarding disease progression, medications, and end-of-life care expectations
• Coordinate care with hospice team members, including social workers, chaplains, and aides
• Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation in accordance with regulatory and agency standards
• Communicate effectively with physicians, patients, caregivers, and team members regarding changes in condition and care needs
• Respond to patient needs and participate in backup on-call rotation as required
• Support patient and family through the dying process with compassion and professionalism

Required Qualifications:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state
• Ability to provide compassionate end-of-life care in a home setting
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently in a field-based environment
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel throughout assigned coverage area

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous hospice or home health experience
• Experience with symptom management, pain control, and end-of-life care
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team
