• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36 
• Weekend Hours: Every Other/As Needed.  
• Call Requirements: As Needed.  
• Required Certifications: ACLS, AWHONN, BLS, HWC, NRP, PALS  
• Years of Experience: 2+ 
• Float Requirements: As Needed.  

• Additional Notes: Med Surg, postpartum, pediatrics in that order.  Due to our low birthrate we must accept medical surgical patients on the floor.  I need a nurse that has recent experience in those areas. 

Unit Information: 

• Number of Beds: 14 
• Patient Ratios: 1:5+  
• EHR: MedHost, Centricity Perinatal 

• Supervisor: Deborah Vaughn, CNO  

• Patient Population e.g. “geriatric, adult, peds, etc.”: Serves all ages.  

Hiring Profile: 

• Must Have Skills/Experience: IV placement; NG tube placement; fundal checks. 
• Preferred Skillset/Experience: Med/Surg. 
• Common Diagnosis/Treatment: Bowel obstruction; hip fracture; Cholelithiasis; Appendicitis; Post Partum care. 
• Personality Fit: Professional, team player.  

• Required Education: Certification/Licensure required to work as an RN in Tennessee.

• Scrub Color: Any.  
• Any unacceptable attire: No camo; no logo shirts/sweatshirts other than Starr Regional.
