Job: Registered Nurse – Operating Room
Location: Madison, WI
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Day Shift | 3x12 Hours (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
Start Date: 06/22/2026
Job Description:
• Seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse for a pediatric surgical environment
• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room RN experience required
• Recent EPIC experience within the past 12 months required
• Teaching hospital experience required
• Trauma Level I and Trauma Level II experience required
• Pediatric OR, Ambulatory OR, and Pediatric Trauma experience required
• Active Wisconsin RN license or Compact RN license required
• BLS certification required (AHA only)
• PALS certification preferred
Required Skills & Experience:
• Administration of blood and blood products
• Assisting anesthesia during induction
• Infection control and wound management
• Electrosurgical, laser, and radiation safety
• Specimen handling and regulatory charting
• Universal protocol/time-out procedures
• Urinary catheterization and anti-embolic compression application
• Experience with pediatric trauma and emergency management
• Ability to respond to code situations, fire safety, latex allergy, and malignant hyperthermia protocols
