Description
Cath Lab Technologist (RCIS / RAD)
Candidate Requirement
- Must live 50+ miles away
Schedule
- Monday – Friday
- Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- 5 x 8s
- Variable start time between 7:00 AM – 8:00 AM
- Scheduled 8-hour shifts
Call Requirement
- Approximately 1 day per week
- Approximately 1 weekend per month
Required Experience
- Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab and/or Electrophysiology experience
- Must be able to scrub and pan procedures for:
- Diagnostic coronary studies
- Therapeutic coronary interventions
- Peripheral vascular procedures
- Structural heart experience preferred
- Experience in additional specialties is a plus
Required Certifications
- RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) OR
- RAD (Registered Radiologic Technologist)
- BLS – Required
- ACLS – Required
Education
- Degree in a related field (AA, BA, BS, BSN) OR equivalent years of experience required
Key Responsibilities
- Work in a multidisciplinary Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory
- Support patients undergoing invasive cardiac and vascular diagnostic procedures
- Assist with interventional cardiac and peripheral vascular procedures
- Perform scrub duties during procedures
- Perform hemodynamic monitoring and procedure documentation
- Operate radiology and catheterization imaging equipment
- Prepare procedure rooms, equipment, and supplies
- Maintain sterile technique throughout procedures
- Assist physicians during coronary, peripheral, and structural heart interventions
- Respond effectively during emergent and critical situations

- Strong scrub and monitoring skills
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities
- Effective verbal and written communication
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality
- Knowledge of cath lab equipment and imaging systems
Ideal Candidate
An experienced Cath Lab Technologist with at least 2 years of Cath Lab or EP experience, strong scrub and monitoring skills, and the ability to support diagnostic, interventional coronary, peripheral vascular, and structural heart procedures. Candidate must hold RCIS or RAD certification and be comfortable participating in the required call rotation.
