Nursing Director - Inpatient Care

Key Responsibilities
- Provide ongoing leadership and operational oversight of medical/surgical units and the ICU
- Ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality nursing care to patients and families
- Apply sound human resource and financial management principles to guide nursing services
- Support comprehensive patient and family services through active participation with the interdisciplinary team
- Collaborate with physicians on the implementation of policies, procedures, standards, and regulations to facilitate optimal nursing care
- Assume 24-hour responsibility, authority, and accountability for patient care activities and service operations
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing required
- Current Registered Nurse licensure in the state of Maine or Compact licensure in good standing with the Board of Nursing
Preferred Experience / Skills
Master's degree in Nursing preferred
Specialty and/or leadership certification preferred
