Description

Labor & Delivery RN (L&D) – Night Shift

Shift Information

Primary Shift: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
Schedule: 36 hours/week
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend

Required Experience

Minimum 2 years L&D RN experience required
Strong ability to independently manage:
- Laboring patients
- Maternal/fetal assessments
- Postpartum care coordination
Must be comfortable with patient & family-centered care model (Swanson Care Framework)

Required Certifications

BLS
ACLS
NRP
Active Kentucky RN License (required at time of submission)

EMR

EPIC experience required

Core Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive maternal assessments and reassessments
Develop, implement, and revise individualized care plans
Monitor maternal and fetal status and respond to changes promptly
Provide education to patients and families throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum stages
Coordinate interdisciplinary care and discharge planning
Support safe, evidence-based clinical decision-making
Delegate appropriately to licensed and unlicensed staff
Act as mentor/preceptor and promote teamwork within the unit
Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards
