Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical / Telemetry
Location: 3400 Spruce street Philadelphia PA 19104
Contract Length: 13 Weeks (Potential Extension)
Shift: 12-Hour Shifts
Schedule: 7:00pm-7:00am (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM) + Every Other Weekend (EOW) Required
Holiday Requirement: Must work 1 Summer Holiday

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) with a strong background in Medical Surgical and Telemetry for a high-acuity Med Surg unit expansion. The facility is currently operating 12 staffed beds and expanding by an additional 9 beds due to urgent patient care needs.
The ideal candidate will have solid experience in Oncology, strong Telemetry skills, and the ability to manage complex Med Surg patients in a fast-paced hospital environment. Clinical assignment will primarily focus on Medical Surgical patients, however candidates must successfully complete required Telemetry testing/courses.
Requirements
- Active RN License
- BSN Required – No Exceptions
- Minimum 2+ Years of Recent RN Experience
- Strong experience in:
- Medical Surgical Nursing
- Medical Oncology
- Telemetry Monitoring
- Experience with high-acuity adult patient populations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced acute care environment
- BLS Certification required
Unit Details
- Specialty: Med Surg / Oncology / Telemetry
- Patient Ratio: Approximately 3–4:1
- Unit Expansion due to increased census and staffing growth
- Adult patient population
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to Med Surg and Oncology patients
- Monitor and interpret telemetry readings
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Maintain accurate patient documentation within EMR systems
- Assess patient conditions and respond to changes appropriately
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and discharge care
Additional Information
- 13-week contract with possible extension opportunities
- Every other weekend required
- Must be available to work one summer holiday
