Description

Department Specific Job Functions: -Implements procedures and theories specific to ED nursing. -Performs patient assessment and develops care plan in collaboration with providers, family and patient. -Executes plan of care and nursing interventions. -Modifies care plan based on continuous assessment. -Is responsible for patient and staff safety through appropriate nursing interventions, adhering to safety standards and correcting/reporting safety hazards. -Effectively communicates/collaborates with staff, visitors and families to promote a healthy and healing work environment. -Provides feedback to peers to aide in professional development, increase knowledge base and problem solve. -Maintains accurate and up to date patient records/documentation. 

 

Schedule Notes: - NIGHTS: 3:00PM-3:00AM; 2 call shifts per 6-week schedule period (call shifts are 13-hours, with expectation that traveler is onsite within an hour); there is a 2-week nights rotation required of all travelers; NO BLOCK SCHEDULING

 

Skills: Required Skills & Experience: -Minimum three (3) years of relevant nursing experience.

 

Required Certifications & Licensure: -Illinois state RN License in good standing -BLS (American Heart Assoc.) -ACLS (American Heart Assoc.) -PALS (American Heart Assoc.)
