X-Ray Technologist – Akron, OH | Level I Trauma Center | 13-Week Contract

Shift: 12:00 PM – 10:30 PM
Schedule: 4 x 10-Hour Shifts | Every 3rd Weekend Required
 

Job Overview:
 

We are seeking an experienced X-Ray Technologist for a 13-week contract assignment at a busy Level I Trauma Center in Akron, Ohio. The ideal candidate will have prior Level I Trauma experience and be comfortable working in a high-volume, fast-paced hospital environment while providing exceptional patient care and quality diagnostic imaging services.
 

Responsibilities:

• Perform diagnostic radiographic examinations according to physician orders and department protocols.
• Properly position patients and operate radiographic equipment to obtain quality images.
• Assist with select radiology procedures as permitted by training and competency.
• Maintain patient safety, comfort, and dignity throughout imaging procedures.
• Document procedures accurately using hospital and radiology information systems.
• Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
• Ensure compliance with departmental policies, radiation safety standards, and quality assurance guidelines.
• Respond appropriately to emergency situations and maintain CPR competency.

Requirements:

• Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology.
• ARRT Registered Radiologic Technologist (RT) or Registry Eligible.
• Active Ohio Radiographer License.
• Current CPR Certification.
• Prior Level I Trauma Center experience required.
• Experience working in a busy acute-care hospital environment.
• Ability to lift, transfer, and position patients safely.
• Strong communication, organizational, and patient care skills.
• Familiarity with hospital and radiology computer systems.

Schedule & Facility Details:

• 4 x 10-Hour Shifts Weekly
• Shift: 12:00 PM – 10:30 PM
• Every 3rd Weekend Required
• No On-Call Requirement
