X-Ray Technologist – Akron, OH | Level I Trauma Center | 13-Week Contract
Location: Akron Campus – Akron, Ohio
Start Date: 07/05/2026
End Date: 10/03/2026
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Shift: 10:00 AM – 8:30 PM
Schedule: 4 x 10-Hour Shifts (40 Hours/Week)
Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced X-Ray Technologist for a contract opportunity at a busy Level I Trauma Center in Akron, Ohio. This position is ideal for a technologist who thrives in a fast-paced acute care environment and has recent experience working with trauma patients. The selected candidate will perform diagnostic radiographic procedures while ensuring exceptional patient care and image quality.
Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic radiographic examinations according to physician orders and departmental protocols.
- Properly position patients and operate radiographic equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
- Maintain patient safety, comfort, and dignity throughout all procedures.
- Assist with additional radiology procedures based on training and competency.
- Document imaging procedures accurately within hospital computer systems.
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and healthcare team members.
- Follow radiation safety standards and department quality assurance guidelines.
- Respond appropriately during emergency situations and maintain CPR competency.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology.
- ARRT Registered Radiologic Technologist (RT) or Registry Eligible.
- Active Ohio Radiographer License required.
- Current CPR Certification.
- Recent Level I Trauma Center experience required.
- Experience in a busy acute-care hospital setting preferred.
- Ability to safely lift, transfer, and position patients.
- Strong communication, organizational, and patient care skills.
- Familiarity with hospital and radiology information systems.
