X-Ray Technologist – Akron, OH | Level I Trauma Center | 13-Week Contract

Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Shift: 10:00 AM – 8:30 PM
Schedule: 4 x 10-Hour Shifts (40 Hours/Week)
 

Job Overview:
 

We are seeking an experienced X-Ray Technologist for a contract opportunity at a busy Level I Trauma Center in Akron, Ohio. This position is ideal for a technologist who thrives in a fast-paced acute care environment and has recent experience working with trauma patients. The selected candidate will perform diagnostic radiographic procedures while ensuring exceptional patient care and image quality.
 

Responsibilities:

• Perform diagnostic radiographic examinations according to physician orders and departmental protocols.
• Properly position patients and operate radiographic equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
• Maintain patient safety, comfort, and dignity throughout all procedures.
• Assist with additional radiology procedures based on training and competency.
• Document imaging procedures accurately within hospital computer systems.
• Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and healthcare team members.
• Follow radiation safety standards and department quality assurance guidelines.
• Respond appropriately during emergency situations and maintain CPR competency.

Requirements:

• Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology.
• ARRT Registered Radiologic Technologist (RT) or Registry Eligible.
• Active Ohio Radiographer License required.
• Current CPR Certification.
• Recent Level I Trauma Center experience required.
• Experience in a busy acute-care hospital setting preferred.
• Ability to safely lift, transfer, and position patients.
• Strong communication, organizational, and patient care skills.
• Familiarity with hospital and radiology information systems.
