Description
Assignment Details
- Primarily Monday–Thursday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- On-Call Requirement: Yes, 2–3 nights of call per week
- Weekend Requirement: Yes
- Block Scheduling: Available
- Guaranteed Hours: 70 hours per 2 weeks (traveler may be called off for one 10-hour shift every 2 weeks)
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of CT Technologist experience
- First-time travelers accepted
- Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility (locals not accepted)
Required Certifications
- BLS
- ARRT (R)
- ARRT (CT)
Required Skills
- Skills required per unit description (UD)
- Experience providing CT and X-ray coverage in a low-volume setting
- Experience with older GE and Siemens CT scanners
- Experience with:
- Siemens portable X-ray equipment
- Fuji X-ray systems
- GE X-ray equipment
- GE C-arm for MBS studies
- Siemens C-arm equipment
Floating Requirements
- Clinicians should expect to float, within scope, to Providence Alaska Medical Center (PAMC) to assist with staffing needs.
- Saint Elias and PAMC are approximately 3 miles apart (10-minute drive).
Unit Information
- Low-volume setting
- CT performed on a GE 16-slice scanner
- X-ray coverage includes:
- Siemens portable X-ray equipment
- GE C-arm for modified barium swallow (MBS) studies
Additional Requirements
- Only one time-off request is permitted per 13-week assignment.
- All requested time off must be included at the time of submission and will be reviewed individually upon offer.
