Position: Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN)
Location: Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Facility: St. Luke's Medical Center (SLMC)
Contract Length: 13 Weeks (89 Days)
Shift: 8-Hour Day Shifts (40 Hours/Week)

• 21 OR Suites

Experience Required

• Minimum 2 Years of OR Experience
• First-time travelers require manager approval
• Not recommended for first-time travelers

Required Certification

• BLS

Required OR Experience

Please verify the candidate's experience and frequency of cases in:

• Abdominal Surgery
• XI Robotic Surgery
• Vascular Surgery
• Breast/Plastic Surgery
• Laparoscopic Procedures
• General Oncology
• Genitourinary (GU)
• Gynecology (GYN)

Note: This position is for General Surgery cases only. No Neuro or Orthopedic cases.

Patient Ratio

• 1:1

Charting & Equipment

• Epic
• Alaris
• Pyxis

Floating

• Cross-trained to Main OR and Urology Center
• No floating to other hospitals

Orientation

• 1 to 1.5 weeks

Scheduling

• Variable day shift start times between 5:30 AM and 7:00 AM
• Weekend coverage through call rotation

Call Requirements

• 30-minute response time
• Night call: 10:30 PM – 7:00 AM
• Approximately 5–8 call shifts per 8-week schedule
• 1–2 call weekends (Saturday & Sunday, 12-hour shifts)
