Description

Registered Nurse – MS/Tele Float (Travel/Contract)

Location: Tucson, Arizona
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Night (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Hours per Week: 36


Job Overview

  • Float position primarily on Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit with a required willingness to float to a sister facility (~25 minutes away) with lower acuity patients.
  • Unit patient populations include Infectious Disease, Hospice/Palliative Care, Oncology, Cardiac Acute/Med Care, Post-Surgical, Bariatric, Urology, Neurology, and Orthopedics.
  • Patient ratio experience required: 1:6.
  • No first-time travelers or local hires accepted for this assignment.
  • Weekend coverage required every other weekend, with 12 weekend shifts per contract.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Arizona.
  • Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing.
  • Minimum 1.5 years of Medical-Surgical/Telemetry nursing experience, with experience within the last year.
  • One completed travel nursing assignment.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
  • Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
  • Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification.
  • National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
  • Experience with a 1:6 patient assignment ratio.
