Job Overview

We are urgently hiring Registered Nurses (RN) for the ICU / Critical Care Unit to support open-heart recovery cases. We are seeking three (3) day-shift nurses and three (3) night-shift nurses. 

• Position Type: Per Diem (No guaranteed hours)
• Compensation: $90.00 / hour
• Shifts Available: Days & Nights 

Core Responsibilities

• Direct Patient Care: Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate safe, high-quality patient care within the ICU scope of practice.
• Open-Heart Recovery: Manage comprehensive cardiac recovery protocols and general intensive care needs for complex open-heart surgical cases.
• Clinical Monitoring: Identify and respond rapidly to changes in patient condition, managing advanced hemodynamic monitoring, diagnostic results, and acute symptomatology.
• Physician Collaboration: Maintain direct accountability for assigned patients, communicating clinical changes and critical laboratory results to physicians promptly.
• Leadership & Education: Direct and guide patient/family education while overseeing supporting nursing staff to maintain strict standards of care.
• Compliance: Maintain absolute patient privacy, confidentiality, and HIPAA standards.

Job Requirements

Education, Licensure & Certifications

• License: Active, valid State Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Life Support: Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Specialty Certification: Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certification preferred.
• Health & Safety: COVID-19 vaccination and boosters preferred. 

Experience

• Clinical Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of experience as a staff RN in an acute care hospital critical care setting.
• Specialized Experience: Proven experience with open-heart recovery cases and advanced cardiac care is strictly required.
