Description
ER RN – Washington, DC
- 3x12 Day Shift
- Must live 50+ miles from facility
- Travelers must be willing and able to work trauma rooms as the bedside trauma RN
- Must be comfortable taking 1:5 patient ratios
- Fast-paced ED treating trauma, psych, pediatric, urgent care, and critical care patients
- Cerner experience required
- BSN highly preferred
Required Experience & Certifications:
- 3+ years recent ER experience required
- Current RN license in state/district required
- Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program required
- NIHSS required
- TNCC required
- BLS required
- ACLS required
- PALS required
Key Skills Needed:
- Medication titrations
- Arterial line management
- Massive blood transfusion protocols
- Chest tube management
- Trauma and critical care experience
- Strong multitasking and critical thinking skills
Unit Overview:
The ED is a high-acuity, fast-paced environment caring for a wide range of patients from urgent care cases to trauma, psych, pediatric, and critically ill patients. Nurses coordinate and deliver complex patient care while maintaining patient safety and a positive patient experience.
