Description

 

ER RN – Washington, DC

  • 3x12 Day Shift
  • Must live 50+ miles from facility
  • Travelers must be willing and able to work trauma rooms as the bedside trauma RN
  • Must be comfortable taking 1:5 patient ratios
  • Fast-paced ED treating trauma, psych, pediatric, urgent care, and critical care patients
  • Cerner experience required
  • BSN highly preferred

Required Experience & Certifications:

  • 3+ years recent ER experience required
  • Current RN license in state/district required
  • Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program required
  • NIHSS required
  • TNCC required
  • BLS required
  • ACLS required
  • PALS required

Key Skills Needed:

  • Medication titrations
  • Arterial line management
  • Massive blood transfusion protocols
  • Chest tube management
  • Trauma and critical care experience
  • Strong multitasking and critical thinking skills

Unit Overview:
The ED is a high-acuity, fast-paced environment caring for a wide range of patients from urgent care cases to trauma, psych, pediatric, and critically ill patients. Nurses coordinate and deliver complex patient care while maintaining patient safety and a positive patient experience.
