Description
Travel RN – Med Surg | St. Louis, MO
Location: Mercy Hospital South – St. Louis, MO
Specialty: Medical-Surgical (Med Surg)
Shift: 4x12 Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Hours: 48 Hours/Week
Duration: 13 Weeks
Start Date: ASAP
Pay & Schedule
- Night shift assignment
- Every other weekend as required
- No call requirements
- 13-week contract with extension potential
Requirements
- Active RN license eligible for Missouri licensure
- Minimum 1 year of recent inpatient Med Surg experience
- BLS certification (AHA required)
- ACLS (AHA preferred)
Unit Details
- Medical-Surgical Unit
- Current census: 15 beds (expansion underway)
- Patient ratios:
- Days: 1:5–6
- Nights: 1:6–7
- EPIC EMR experience preferred
- Equipment includes Alaris IV Pumps, Kangaroo Pumps, Nova Glucose Meters, and SCD Machines
Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care using the nursing process
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
- Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize outcomes
- Care for patients with medical, surgical, and post-trauma conditions
- Maintain patient safety, confidentiality, and professional standards
