Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of CT imaging procedures in accordance with departmental protocols.
• Provide imaging services for trauma, emergency department, inpatient, outpatient, ICU, and research patients.
• Assist with specialized CT-guided procedures.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout all imaging examinations.
• Produce high-quality diagnostic images for physician interpretation.
• Follow and enforce radiation safety standards in accordance with New York State Department of Health Code Part 16.
• Collaborate effectively with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
• Support educational initiatives and maintain current knowledge of evolving imaging technologies.

Minimum Qualifications
 

Education

• Graduate of an approved two-year AMA-accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Licensure & Certifications

• New York State Registration in Diagnostic Radiography OR a valid Limited Permit to Practice in New York State.
• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• Current BLS certification for Healthcare Providers (or CPR/CPR-AED for the Professional Rescuer).

Experience

• Entry-level candidates considered.
• Level assignment based on experience, skills, and competency.
