Job Description

• Perform diagnostic CT exams under general supervision following established policies and procedures.
• Verify patient identity and review medical records for exam appropriateness.
• Interview patients to obtain and verify medical history and assess risk factors (e.g., medications, pregnancy, psychological indicators).
• Explain procedures, including side effects, risks, benefits, alternatives, and follow-up instructions.
• Set up CT equipment and acquire images according to the prescribed protocol.
• Review images, make initial observations, document exceptions, and communicate findings to the radiologist.
• Recognize and respond to medical emergencies as needed.
• Provide physician-prescribed post-care instructions to patients.
• Participate in radiology process improvement activities such as quality of care, patient flow, reject-repeat analysis, and patient satisfaction.
• Provide imaging education to residents, student technologists, and new employees.
• May perform Radiologic Technologist duties as needed.
• Able to take call/standby as required.

Required Qualifications

• Valid CT Technologist license in South Carolina
• Minimum 2 years of CT Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
• ARRT certification in CT Technology
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
