Night 4x12-Hour (18:00 - 06:30)is the shift for this role. Guaranteed Hours: 8 and 10 hr. shifts - 40 hrs. in one workweek. 3 12 hr shifts - 36 hrs. in one workweek. 4 12 hr. shifts - 48 hrs. in one workweek. Special Requirements: Labor induction scheduled C sections unscheduled c sections C Section with salpingectomy SROM PPROM hypertension preeclampsia antenatal pts for various reasons triage pts CADD epidural pumps birthing and peanut balls Alaris IV pumps Phillips monitoring wired and wireless Periwatch adding vigilance in June Steadys Hillrom labor beds Draeger Radiant warmers Vein light v scan Unit Information: We follow AWHONN staffing guidelines for patient ratios as best we can. This usually means 1 : 1 for active labor. 1: 2 if not in active labor. Can mean 1 : 3 triage or antepartum pts. If it gets super busy each nurse may have to take an additional patient as needed. Effective 11/30/24 IU Health will not allow IN RN’s to work at their facilities SEE EXCEPTIONS BELOW. **Periop/OR RN’s Allied and Ambulatory RN travelers are exempt from this rule.
