Job Type: Contract - 13weeks

Shift Time: Days , 3 shifts a week

Working Hours: 36 hrs/week, 12 hours a day

Important Information 
The RN will be responsible for pre-operative and post-operative patient care only 
and will not be required to circulate in the operating room. 

Job Overview

The Registered Nurse (OR RN) in an Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) provides comprehensive perioperative nursing care for patients undergoing same-day surgical procedures. The RN collaborates with surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical technologists, and the perioperative team to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care throughout the surgical experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Pre-operative patient assessment and preparation
• Admission and discharge processes
• Post-anesthesia recovery care
• Recovery of patients following moderate sedation procedures
• PACU support and assisting as needed within the perioperative environment
• Patient and family education
   

Required Experience 

• Recent Pre-Op and/or PACU experience
• Strong admission and discharge experience
• Experience caring for both adult and pediatric patients Ability to work in a fast-paced surgical environment with varied specialties 

Certifications Required:

• BLS (AHA)
• ACLS (AHA)
• PALS (AHA)
