Description

Position Details

  • Position: Endoscopy Registered Nurse (Endo RN)
  • Contract Length: 13 Weeks
  • Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week

Schedule

  • Primary Shift: Flexible Days
  • Typical Hours: 9:00 AM – 7:30 PM
  • Schedule Rotation:
    • Alternating 4 × 10-hour shifts and 5 × 8-hour shifts
    • Monday through Friday
    • Maximum of 5 workdays per week

On-Call Requirements

  • 6 call shifts per month
  • 1–2 weekends of call per month

Required Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of Registered Nurse experience.
  • Recent Endoscopy (Endo) RN experience required.

Required Certifications

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • NIH Stroke Scale Certification (must be completed before the start date)

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide nursing care before, during, and after endoscopic procedures.
  • Prepare patients for diagnostic and therapeutic GI procedures.
  • Administer and monitor moderate sedation.
  • Monitor patient vital signs and recovery.
  • Assist physicians during endoscopic procedures.
  • Respond to emergency situations and maintain patient safety.
  • Complete accurate clinical documentation.
  • Educate patients and families regarding procedures and discharge instructions.
