Position Details

Position: Endoscopy Registered Nurse (Endo RN)
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week

Schedule

Primary Shift: Flexible Days
Typical Hours: 9:00 AM – 7:30 PM
Schedule Rotation:
- Alternating 4 × 10-hour shifts and 5 × 8-hour shifts
- Monday through Friday
- Maximum of 5 workdays per week

On-Call Requirements

6 call shifts per month
1–2 weekends of call per month

Required Experience

Minimum 2 years of Registered Nurse experience.
Recent Endoscopy (Endo) RN experience required.

Required Certifications

BLS (Basic Life Support)
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
NIH Stroke Scale Certification (must be completed before the start date)

Key Responsibilities

Provide nursing care before, during, and after endoscopic procedures.
Prepare patients for diagnostic and therapeutic GI procedures.
Administer and monitor moderate sedation.
Monitor patient vital signs and recovery.
Assist physicians during endoscopic procedures.
Respond to emergency situations and maintain patient safety.
Complete accurate clinical documentation.
Educate patients and families regarding procedures and discharge instructions.
