• Shift: Nights – 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
• Work Week: Sunday – Saturday

• Floating Required

Job Description:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care for patients in a Medical Surgical Stroke Stepdown unit.
• Deliver safe, evidence-based care using the nursing process and unit-specific protocols.
• Assess, monitor, and manage patients with acute and chronic medical conditions.
• Care for stroke patients and perform neurological monitoring and timely escalation of clinical changes.
• Manage patients with altered mental status, renal conditions, dialysis needs, COPD, CHF, and isolation precautions.
• Monitor patient condition, implement care plans, and continuously evaluate treatment effectiveness.
• Administer medications and treatments while ensuring patient safety and quality outcomes.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and maintain accurate nursing documentation.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, discharge needs, and disease management.
• Maintain compliance with infection prevention and isolation protocols.
• Float to other units within scope as required to support operational needs.
• Utilize Epic EMR for charting and documentation.
• Deliver patient-centered care while maintaining high standards of clinical practice.
