Schedule:

• Night Shift: 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM (5x8s)
• 40 Hours per Week
• Every Weekend Highly Preferred (Saturday & Sunday)
• Otherwise, Every Other Weekend Required
• Every Other Holiday Required
• No On-Call Requirement
• No Floating Required

Job Description:

• Provide comprehensive psychiatric nursing care to patients in an inpatient behavioral health setting.
• Perform patient assessments and develop individualized nursing care plans based on psychiatric and medical needs.
• Monitor patient condition and evaluate treatment response throughout hospitalization.
• Deliver safe and therapeutic patient care while maintaining a structured treatment environment.
• Manage behavioral health crises and respond appropriately using de-escalation techniques and hospital protocols.
• Conduct ongoing mental status assessments and monitor for changes in patient condition.
• Administer medications and evaluate patient response and effectiveness.
• Maintain patient safety and ensure compliance with psychiatric care standards and protocols.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, providers, social workers, case management, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Provide patient and family education regarding treatment plans and discharge preparation.
• Support continuity of care and discharge planning.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility and regulatory standards.
• Promote a therapeutic environment that supports recovery and patient-centered care.
• Perform Charge RN responsibilities and assist with team coordination and workflow as needed.

Required Qualifications:

• Active Massachusetts RN License
• Minimum 2 years of Psychiatric RN experience
• Previous Travel RN experience required
• Charge RN experience required
• Current BLS Certification
• CPI Blue Certification required at submission
• Behavioral health / psychiatric inpatient experience preferred
