Travel Occupational Therapist (OT) – Acute Care

Northside Hospital Forsyth | Cumming, Georgia

Northside Hospital Forsyth is seeking a Travel Occupational Therapist for a 13-week contract in Cumming, Georgia. Join one of Georgia's premier hospital systems and become part of a collaborative rehabilitation team providing exceptional acute care services to adult patients recovering from illness, injury, and surgery.

This is an excellent opportunity for therapists who enjoy working in a fast-paced hospital environment while helping patients regain independence and safely transition to their next level of care.

Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations and reassessments.
Develop individualized treatment plans focused on maximizing independence with activities of daily living.
Treat patients with orthopedic, neurological, cardiac, trauma, and medically complex conditions.
Provide ADL retraining, upper extremity rehabilitation, cognitive assessments, functional mobility training, and discharge planning.
Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, physical therapists, speech therapists, and case managers.
Educate patients and caregivers on adaptive equipment, safety techniques, and home recommendations.
Complete timely documentation and progress reporting.
