🔥 PREMIER TRUE ICU STEPDOWN CONTRACT – EXCEPTIONAL 1:4 RATIOS – FIRST TIMERS WELCOME

 

First Connect Health is seeking a versatile Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) for an immediate 12-week night-shift assignment at a premier short-term acute care hospital in Lafayette, Indiana. This unit operates as a true ICU stepdown, providing high-acuity care for cardiac and medical PCU patients. If you are an experienced stepdown nurse looking for a highly manageable 1:4 patient ratio, or a dedicated clinician ready to jump into your very first travel assignment, this facility proudly welcomes you!

💰 PRE-CALCULATED PAY PACKAGE

  • Weekly Gross: $2,099.00
  • Weekly Tax-Free Stipend: $1,379.00
  • Hourly W2 Rate: $20.00/hr
  • Overtime Rate: $31.50/hr

📅 SHIFT & POSITION DETAILS

  • Schedule: Night shifts, 3x12-Hours (18:00 - 06:30). No block scheduling available.
  • Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours guaranteed weekly (4x12 or 48-hour variants are dynamically tracked when available).
  • Weekend Requirements: Weekend shifts are required to support unit needs.
  • EMR System: Cerner
  • Exceptional Patient Ratios: 1:4 uniform nurse-to-patient ratio across all Days, Nights, and Weekends.
  • Clinical Scope: Managing cardiac and medical stepdown patients, post-cardiac angiograms, post-watchman/ablation procedures, and pre/post-cardiac catheterizations.
  • Core Medications & Infusions: Managing cardiac and vasoactive drips (Levo, Dopa, Nitro, Cardizem, Amio). Note: Baseline management requires no titration, but titration experience is highly preferred.
  • Unit Floating: Clinicians must be willing to float within their scope to meet immediate facility staffing needs.

🚨 REQUISITE QUALIFICATIONS FOR SUBMISSION

  • Experience: Minimum 18 months (1.5 years) of recent clinical experience in a hospital setting. Prior experience working in a designated Trauma Level I, II, III, or IV facility is strictly required. First-time travel nurses are fully welcome!
  • Licensure: Active Indiana State Nursing License must be in hand at the time of submission (pending licenses cannot be accepted).
  • Certifications Required: Active AHA BLS and ACLS are required. NIHSS certification is highly preferred.
  • Core Competencies: Full proficiency with Telemetry monitoring, IV starts, non-titrating vasoactive/cardiac drips, BiPAP/CPAP management, and High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC) oxygen delivery systems is required.
  • Dress Code: Red scrub top with solid black scrub bottoms.
