🔥 PREMIER HEART HOSPITAL CONTRACT – FLEXIBLE 36 OR 48-HOUR OPTIONS – FIRST TIMERS OK

 

First Connect Health is seeking a skilled Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) for an immediate 13-week night-shift assignment at the specialized Heart Hospital in Albuquerque, New Mexico. This dedicated 55-bed cardiovascular unit offers highly structured support and a highly coveted 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio on nights. Please note: This facility will consider strong candidates with 1+ years of experience, though 2 years is preferred.

 

💰 PRE-CALCULATED 48-HOUR PAY PACKAGE

  • Weekly Gross: $2,540.00
  • Weekly Tax-Free Stipend: $1,500.00
  • Hourly W2 Rate: $20.00/hr
  • Overtime Rate: $30.00/hr

📅 SHIFT & POSITION DETAILS

  • Schedule: Night shifts, 18:30 - 07:00. Choice of a 3x12 (36hr) or 4x12 (48hr) work week.
  • Block Scheduling: Evaluated on a case-by-case basis!
  • Favorable Patient Ratios: Dynamic 1:4 ratio on night shifts (scales up to 1:5 based on daily census/acuity).
  • EMR System: Epic charting required.
  • Clinical Environment: 55-bed dedicated Cardiovascular PCU within a specialized Heart Hospital setting. Daily unit census averages 38 patients.
  • Patient Diagnoses: High-volume cardiovascular care including CHF management, STEMI/NSTEMI tracking, post-cardiac angiograms, pre/post-cardiac cath, pre/post-cardiac surgery, and sheath removal.
  • Float Requirement: Yes, traveling clinicians will float to related units to meet facility needs.

🚨 REQUISITE QUALIFICATIONS FOR SUBMISSION

  • Experience: Minimum 1–2 years of recent clinical acute care experience. Cardiovascular/Telemetry setting experience is strictly required. First-time travel nurses are fully welcome!
  • Certifications Required: Active AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS credentials are required at submission. CPI certification is preferred.
  • Clinical Competencies: Full comfort with cardiac drip management (including titration), IV insulin protocols, sheath removal, heparin protocols, and advanced dysrhythmia interpretation/management.
  • Dress Code: Any solid color scrubs are permitted (must have no external logos).

📈 Flexible 36 or 48-Hour Layouts: This contract gives the traveler full control, offering the option to maximize weekly revenue on a 48-hour guaranteed schedule (4x12s) or maintain a traditional 36-hour schedule (3x12s). ❤️ Specialized Heart Hospital Setting: This is not a general medical-surgical floor. This position is housed entirely inside a dedicated 55-bed Cardiovascular PCU handling high-acuity CHF, STEMI/NSTEMI, post-angiogram, and sheath removal protocols. 🛌 Favorable Ratios & No Call: Night shifts feature a supportive 1:4 to 1:5 patient ratio tailored to acuity, with the added benefit of no on-call requirements built into the contract. 🔄 Block Scheduling & RTO: Block schedules are open for review on a case-by-case basis by the manager. Pre-approved requested time off (RTO) must be limited to 1 request and submitted upfront with your initial profile. 📋 Submission Profile Checklist: To clear the initial compliance check, your profile must include an up-to-date resume showing cardiovascular experience, a targeted telemetry/PCU skills checklist, and active verification copies of your ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications.
