PREMIUM OPERATING ROOM RN CONTRACT – TIER 5 SPECIALTY (GYN/GU/TRANSPLANT) – 3x12 DAYS

 

We are seeking a highly skilled Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) for an extended, high-impact 17-week travel assignment. Operating within a prestigious, high-acuity Academic Medical Center in Madison, WI, this position is tailored for elite perioperative professionals who possess specialized competency in high-level Urology, Gynecology/Oncology, and Transplant surgery. Please note: This facility enforces strict clinical experience baselines. First-time travel candidates are proudly accepted, provided they possess a robust background in advanced robotic and transplant surgery.

 

📅 SHIFT & POSITION DETAILS

  • Schedule: Day shifts, 3x12-Hours (06:40 AM - 19:10 PM). Features potential for a varied mid-day shift (09:40 AM - 22:10 PM) once bi-weekly to meet departmental flow. No block scheduling.
  • Assignment Length: Extended stability! Offering a 17-week baseline duration with structural possibilities to extend up to 21 weeks.
  • Guaranteed Hours: 36 Hours guaranteed weekly.
  • On-Call & Weekend Requirements: Standard department rotation including weekday on-call assignments and shared weekend rotations to safeguard continuous coverage.
  • EMR System: Epic charting system required.
  • Clinical Environment: Elite Trauma Level I academic health setting managing a highly specialized Tier 5 surgical tract.
  • Surgical Scope & Procedures: Advanced mastery of complex specialty service lines. Core case mixtures include Kidney and Pancreas Transplants, Organ Procurements, and the DaVinci Xi Robotic Surgical System. Regular daily procedures span robotic/laparoscopic nephrectomies, HOLEP, cystectomies, neobladders, ureteroscopies, complex gynecologic oncology, anterior/posterior repairs, and abdominal/vaginal hysterectomies.

📋 REQUISITE QUALIFICATIONS FOR SUBMISSION

  • Hardstop Experience Rules: Minimum 2 years of consecutive clinical experience as an OR RN [REQUIRED]. Must possess explicit, verifiable procedural depth across Urology, Gynecology, and active Transplant lines [HARDSTOP].   • Time-Off Restrictions: A maximum of 2 pre-approved time off (RTO) requests will be considered at submittal to protect unit operational workflow.
  • Vaccine Mandate: COVID-19 vaccination is not required; Flu vaccination is strictly required [REQUIRED] (Medical/Religious exemptions only).
  • Certifications Required: Verifiable active AHA BLS Only [REQUIRED].
  • Licensure Required: Active, unrestricted Wisconsin (WI) state nursing licensure or an active multistate Compact license [REQUIRED] clear on Nursys prior to start.
