Description
Join a fast-paced Emergency Department caring for patients across all age groups, including neonates, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics. We're seeking an experienced Travel ED RN who thrives in a dynamic environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and document accurately in Epic.
- Administer medications safely while following evidence-based practice.
- Perform clinical procedures including IV starts, Foley catheter insertion, wound care, and telemonitoring.
- Care for critically ill patients requiring ventilators, BiPAP/CPAP, vasopressors, sedation, and blood product administration.
- Recognize and respond to changes in patient condition.
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge care.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality emergency care.
- Promote patient safety and serve as a patient advocate.
Requirements
- Active California RN License
- BLS (AHA)
- ACLS
- PALS
- NIHSS
- TNCC
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience
- Previous travel experience required
- Epic experience preferred
- Community hospital experience preferred

- Adult and Pediatric Emergency Care
- Trauma and Critical Care
- Triage
- Stroke and STEMI patients
- Ventilator management
- Arterial lines and central lines
- Chest tubes
- Procedural sedation
- Dysrhythmia interpretation and management
- Psychiatric emergencies
- Burns, overdoses, seizures, asthma, CVA, respiratory emergencies, and other high-acuity ED cases

- 32 treatment rooms
- 36 beds
- Approximately 120 patient visits daily
- 4:1 patient ratio
- Interdisciplinary support including Respiratory Therapy, Pharmacy, Radiology, Social Services, Transportation, Interpretation Services, and Unit Secretary
