Description

RN - Med/Surg

"32 beds Type/Specialties staffed : Med Surg RN (no tele experience required)

Unit Description: surgical units specialize in preparing patients for the OR and helping them return to normal after surgery and get them ready for discharge (after PACU recovery) time.

Shift times: 7a-730p with 60 min unpaid lunch

Float Requirements: other medicine/ surgical units, however the nurse will not have tele patients assigned, occasionally nurse can float to ED to take care of admitted medicine patients (maintaining ratio 1:5)

Weekend Requirements: up to discussion but nurse can be required to work weekend or at least 1 day of the weekend

Holiday Requirements: n/a

Nurse to Patient Ratio if applicable: 1:5

Unit Size/Beds: 8W = 30 bed, 8E = 32 bed

Cases Seen -Neuro, urology, orthopedic, general surgery, post op , pre op

Years of Exp preferred: 3 and more

Experience with vent patients highly preferred.

Certifications required: BLS

Any additional details that may help the agency with recruitment and onboarding/compliance: Flexibility, cannot guarantee the same days every week"
