Important Information

• Auto-offer position
• 13-week assignment
• 5 RN openings
• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Guaranteed hours: 36 or 48 hours per week (must be selected on the submission form)
• Weekend shifts: As needed
• Call: None

Requirements

• Current RN license (Missouri or eligible for Missouri licensure)
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) only
• At least 1 year of inpatient Psychiatric/Behavioral Health RN experience
  • Experience must be in an inpatient psychiatric hospital or psychiatric unit.
  • Correctional or jail psych experience does not qualify.
• Any crisis intervention training must be listed on the submission form.

Unit Details

• Adult acute psychiatric patients (non-medical)
• 32 beds (expanding to 36)
• Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:8
• EMR: Epic
• No floating to other units, but you may be asked to help as a patient sitter or psychiatric technician if needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Crisis intervention training
• Team-oriented attitude

Dress Code

• Black scrubs only
• Mercy-approved T-shirts are allowed
• No other scrub colors
• No Crocs or shoes with holes

Scheduling Guidelines

• Guaranteed hours (36 or 48) must be chosen on the submission form.
• Block scheduling (without requesting specific days) may be approved if listed on the submission form.
• Requested time off (RTO) is not allowed during the first week and must be made up at the end of the assignment.
• Only one holiday RTO request is allowed per assignment.
• Night-shift nurses will complete orientation on the day shift and must be available for the entire orientation week.

Flu Vaccine Requirement

A flu vaccine is required for all travelers working between November 1 and April 1. Declinations or exemptions are not accepted.
