Description
Travel Respiratory Therapist (RRT/CRT) – Nights | 13-Week Contract
Location: Manchester Memorial Hospital – Manchester, CT
Department: Pulmonary Lab
Shift: Nights | 40 Hours/Week (4x8s)
Job Responsibilities
- Assess, treat, and monitor patients with acute and chronic cardiopulmonary conditions.
- Administer oxygen therapy, aerosol medications, and other respiratory treatments.
- Manage and monitor mechanical ventilation and assist with ventilator weaning.
- Perform airway management procedures and respond to respiratory emergencies.
- Conduct respiratory assessments and accurately document patient care in Epic.
- Educate patients and families on respiratory therapies and disease management.
- Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, infection control standards, and patient safety protocols.
Schedule
- 40 hours per week
- Rotating Night Schedule:
- Two (2) 8-hour night shifts (11:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
- Two (2) 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of Respiratory Therapy experience
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT)
- Active Connecticut Respiratory Therapist License
- Current BLS Certification
- Epic experience preferred
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills
