Position: ICU Registered Nurse (RN)
Facility: Carlsbad Medical Center
Location: Carlsbad, New Mexico

Schedule

• Shift: Days (6:30 AM – 6:30 PM)
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
• Contract Length: 13 weeks (91 days)
• Call: None
• Holidays: Required
• Auto Offer: Yes (No interview)
• 48-hour contracts: Not accepted

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience
• ER experience required
• Medical-Surgical experience required
• BLS required
• ACLS required
• TNCC preferred
• Experience with:
  • Ventilator patients
  • Titratable drips
  • Mixing medications
  • Patient hygiene

Unit Details

• ICU Beds: 12
• Patient Ratio: 1:2–3
• EMR: MedHost
• Scrub Color: Any

Floating

• Floating to ER and Medical-Surgical units is required.
• ER: Assist with IVs, blood draws, medications, transports, and other nursing tasks (no patient assignment).
• Med-Surg: May take a full assignment of up to 6 patients or work as an aide for up to 12 patients.

Additional Requirements

• Fingerprinting is mandatory for all New Mexico travelers.
• Agency must be registered with the State of New Mexico for fingerprint processing.
• Blocked scheduling may be considered if requested at the time of submission.
