Description
Position: ICU Registered Nurse (RN)
Facility: Carlsbad Medical Center
Location: Carlsbad, New Mexico
Schedule
- Shift: Days (6:30 AM – 6:30 PM)
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
- Contract Length: 13 weeks (91 days)
- Call: None
- Holidays: Required
- Auto Offer: Yes (No interview)
- 48-hour contracts: Not accepted
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of ICU experience
- ER experience required
- Medical-Surgical experience required
- BLS required
- ACLS required
- TNCC preferred
- Experience with:
- Ventilator patients
- Titratable drips
- Mixing medications
- Patient hygiene
Unit Details
- ICU Beds: 12
- Patient Ratio: 1:2–3
- EMR: MedHost
- Scrub Color: Any
Floating
- Floating to ER and Medical-Surgical units is required.
- ER: Assist with IVs, blood draws, medications, transports, and other nursing tasks (no patient assignment).
- Med-Surg: May take a full assignment of up to 6 patients or work as an aide for up to 12 patients.
Additional Requirements
- Fingerprinting is mandatory for all New Mexico travelers.
- Agency must be registered with the State of New Mexico for fingerprint processing.
- Blocked scheduling may be considered if requested at the time of submission.
