Description

Job Overview- Role: Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN)- Setting: Adult cardiology (Cath Lab / EP / Vascular / IR)- Shift: Day (7:30 AM – 4:00 PM), Monday–Friday- Call: Required (one night/week; every 4th weekend)- Start date: Not specifiedExperience Requirements- Minimum 3 years Cath Lab experience (required)- Charge RN experience: preferred- Epic charting experience: required- Community hospital and Trauma II experience: preferred- References: 2 professional (=1 manager/supervisor required)Unit Details- Units covered: Cath Lab (diagnostic, PCI—Level 2), EP Lab (device changeouts, ICD/pace management), Vascular Angiogram, IR (simple procedures)- Patient diagnoses: AMI, STEMI, NSTEMI, arrhythmias, PAD, PVD, EP device patients- Rooms/beds: 2 rooms, 9 beds- Interdisciplinary support: PT, Respiratory, Radiology, Pharmacy, Rapid Response, Transportation, Unit Secretary, Interpretation services Scheduling & Floating- Primary schedule: 7:30 AM–4:00 PM, Mon–Fri- Call expectation: one night per week + every 4th weekend; specific call details may be adjusted based on skill set- Patient ratio (days): 1:3- Floating: Not specified / not indicated Certifications & Skills- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, valid state or compact RN license in hand at submission- Preferred: CCI RCIS- Key clinical skills (summary): - Diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath care (left/right heart cath, PCI) - EP device management (insertion/programming, changeouts, ICDs, pacers) - Hemodynamic support devices: Impella, IABP, temporary pacer - Vascular imaging/adjuncts: IVUS, FFR, shockwave, DFR - Sheath management/removal, pressure monitoring, sedation monitoring - Dysrhythmia recognition/management, emergency meds, IV vasopressors - Basic invasive skills: PICC care, IV starts, blood product administration.
