RN - PACU at Maimonides Medical Center (Brooklyn, NY)

PACU 17050 Critical Care post Anesthesia Care Unit 18 bed Critical Care Post Anesthesia Care Unit with Phase 1 and Phase 2 Care

Care for patients post operatively which may include Stepdown and ICU boarders in a Level 1 and Stroke Certified Health System.

No call, may float; There are Post Anesthesia Care Units in Interventional Radiology, Ambulatory Surgery Unit, and the Main Aron 4 PACU in different locations; but still PACU.

Need Critical care training and too be comfortable with vented patients, A-lines, Chest Tubes, Mid lines, Stroke, Neurosurgery

Looking for a team player who wants to assist PACU in keeping the heart in healthcare and providing safe and appropriate care.

Weekends are expected, usually every other weekend. Nurse to Patient Ratio- Depends on acuity, usually 1:2, 1:3 Cases Seen - 30-45 per day Years of Exp preferred/Experience Requirements: 3 years PACU, plus ICU, Critical Care, Emergency Room experience Certifications Required - Bachelor’s Degree, NYS RN License, BLS, PALS, ACLS, NIHS

Shift- 1900 hours until 0730 hour. Three 12 hr shifts per week
