CVS Health is seeking compassionate and patient-focused Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our Vaccination Initiative as an Immunizing Nurse Float. In this patient-facing retail clinic role, you will administer a variety of vaccines while delivering exceptional customer care in a fast-paced community healthcare environment.

• 10:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• 56 Hours per Week
• Flexible scheduling required

Retail Pharmacy / Community Healthcare Clinic

Position Summary

The Immunizing Nurse Float will administer a wide range of vaccines in a CVS retail pharmacy while delivering safe, efficient, and compassionate patient care. This role requires excellent clinical judgment, strong communication skills, and flexibility to support vaccination initiatives across assigned locations as needed.

PPE and all required clinical supplies are provided.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer vaccines including:
  • Influenza (Flu)
  • COVID-19  
  • MMR
  • Hepatitis A & B
  • Tdap  
  • Shingles  
  • RSV
  • Pneumococcal  
  • Other CDC-recommended immunizations
• Assess patients before immunization.
• Administer medications following established clinical protocols.
• Monitor patients for adverse reactions after vaccination.
• Educate patients regarding vaccine benefits, risks, and post-vaccination care.
• Maintain accurate documentation in electronic medical records.
• Follow infection prevention and PPE guidelines.
• Collaborate with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals.
• Deliver exceptional customer service in a retail healthcare environment.
• Adapt to changing workflows and support additional clinic locations when needed.  

Minimum Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience, including immunization and direct patient care.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Comfortable administering vaccines throughout the workday.
• Ability to work independently in a patient-facing retail setting.
• Flexible to work weekends, holidays, and varying schedules.

Candidate Requirements

• Active RN License
• Current BLS Certification
• Minimum one (1) year of nursing experience with immunization experience preferred
• Verifiable High School Diploma or GED
• No prior CVS/Aetna employment
• Not listed on the DEA Excluded Parties List
• Candidate Questionnaire must accompany every submission
