Description

CT / X-Ray Technologist (Allied / SEIU Union Position) – Rotating Shifts (Epic System Conversion Backfill)

Schedule: Rotating Shifts | 3x12 Days/Nights (36 Hours Per Week) (Options for up to 48 hours per week may be available based on conversion demands).
Assignment Length: 8-Week Short-Term Contract (08/17/2026 – 10/11/2026)
Union Status: This position is officially represented by the Service Employees International Union (SEIU).

Time-Off Restrictions [STRICT]: No Requested Time Off (RTO) allowed. The start date is completely firm to ensure stable imaging department coverage during active system migration.

EMR Dual-System Mandate [CRITICAL]: This contract provides specialized radiology backfill coverage during an enterprise-wide Epic system implementation.
⚠️ EMR HARDSTOP: Candidates must demonstrate active, highly proficient experience using BOTH Epic AND Cerner EMR/RIS platforms within the last 5 years as either a core staff employee or travel contractor.
- Recency Requirement: Must have current, active clinical workflow experience using Epic.
- Resume Layout Rule: Every single position documented in the candidate's work history must explicitly state the charting system used. If a previous employer utilized multiple EMR systems, precise dates must be provided to clarify exactly when each platform was active.
Licensure & Modality Certifications [IN-HAND]:
- Active Radiologic Technologist (RT) license/registration in the state of practice.
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists: Must hold ARRT (R); an advanced registry in ARRT (CT) is highly preferred.
- Active state Fluoroscopy License (FLUORO) is required.
- Active BLS certification from an approved vendor per Adventist Health policy.
Preferred Assets: Venipuncture certification; Associate degree in Radiologic Technology.

Clinical Scope & Core Duties Multi-Modality Imaging: Operates diagnostic computed tomography (CT) equipment to produce high-quality cross-sectional images of bones, organs, and tissues for complex clinical diagnoses. In addition to CT, the tech must be competent in performing general radiography (X-Ray) and fluoroscopy procedures. Patient & Contrast Management: Prepares and positions patients safely, screens for clinical contraindications, and coordinates venipuncture/contrast administration where permitted.
