Job Overview

Torrance Memorial Medical Center is seeking an experienced Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week travel assignment. This opportunity is ideal for an RN with strong interventional cardiology experience who is comfortable assisting with diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures while providing exceptional pre-, intra-, and post-procedural patient care. Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care before, during, and after cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology procedures.
• Assist physicians with diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures in the Cath Lab.
• Monitor hemodynamic status, cardiac rhythms, and patient response throughout procedures.
• Recover patients following cardiac catheterizations, PCI, structural heart, and electrophysiology procedures.
• Administer medications, conscious sedation, IV therapies, and emergency interventions as appropriate.
• Recognize and respond quickly to cardiac emergencies and changes in patient condition.
• Collaborate with cardiologists, anesthesiologists, and the multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure excellent patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow all hospital safety and infection control policies.
• Participate in the unit's on-call rotation as scheduled.

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Cath Lab RN experience (Required).
• Minimum 1 year of recent ICU, Emergency Room (ER), or PACU experience (Required).
• Experience recovering patients following cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures.
• Strong knowledge of hemodynamic monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation.
• First-time travel nurses are welcome to apply.

Required Certifications & Licensure

• Active California Registered Nurse (RN) License (must be active at the time of submission).
• BLS (American Heart Association)
• ACLS (American Heart Association)

Schedule & Assignment Details

• Contract Length: 13 Weeks (Potential for extension)
• Shift: Days (6:00 AM – 6:30 PM)
• Schedule: 3x12-Hour Shifts
• On-Call: Required (1–2 nights per week)
• Weekend Requirement: One weekend every 4–6 weeks
• Floating: None

This assignment is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Cath Lab RN seeking a high-acuity cardiac environment with exposure to advanced interventional and electrophysiology procedures while working alongside a collaborative cardiovascular team at one of Southern California's premier medical centers.
