Location

• Peoria, Illinois

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Schedule

• Day shift, 12 hours per day
• 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend
• Holiday rotation every other holiday

Unit Overview

• Acute rehab unit with 29 beds
• Typical patient population includes neuro, neurosurgery, amputations, multi-trauma, cardiac, and complex medical patients
• Tracheostomy patients are included; ventilators are not used on the unit

Required Qualifications

• Active Illinois RN license, or confirmation that the application process has been initiated
• BLS certification
• Strong neuro skills

Clinical Expectations

• RN participation in team conferences is required
• RN does not titrate drips
• Heparin is the only common titratable or set-rate drip
• Tele packs may be used, but RN does not monitor telemetry strips
• Floating is required to LTAC and med-surg; floating to HAU is only if trained

Orientation

• 2 days of classroom orientation
• 2 to 3 days/nights with a preceptor
• Training includes QRP and rehab documentation

Additional Notes

• Local candidates within 50 miles are accepted
• Drug screen must be negative for all panels
• No call or standby requirement
• Scrubs may be any color; T-shirts are not allowed unless approved
