Registered Nurse

Location

• Minocqua, Wisconsin

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Schedule

• Night shifts
• 12-hour shifts
• Every other weekend
• Every other holiday
• May be placed on call in a rotation if census is low

Unit Details

• Medical/surgical, ICU, intermediate care unit
• 20 beds
• Patient ratios vary by area:

  • Medical-surgical: 1:5 days, 1:6 nights
  • Intermediate care: 1:4
  • ICU: 1:2
  • Pediatrics: 1:3-4

Patient Population

• Adult and pediatric patients
• Common cases include cardiac, pulmonary, neuro, skin, GI, GU, orthopedic, sepsis, outpatient infusion/transfusion, and stable pediatric respiratory/post-op/dehydration cases

Required Qualifications

• ACLS
• BLS
• PALS
• ICU experience
• Pediatric experience is preferred
• Ability to titrate drips
• Ability to read rhythm strips

Responsibilities / Work Setting

• Charge nurses take an assignment
• Floating may be required within the facility and to other listed sites as needed
• Must clock in and out at the facility

Equipment / Clinical Support

• Respiratory support and ventilator equipment are available
• Telemetry is monitored by a separate tele tech team

Orientation

• 1 day of computer-based training and hospital orientation
• 1-2 days of on-shift orientation

Dress Code

• Navy scrubs
