Travel PCU RN – Louisville, KY (2 Openings)

Pay: $2,336.15/week

Start Date: 08/23/2026

Shift: Nights, 7:00 PM–7:00 AM (36 hrs/week)

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Location: Louisville, KY

Facility Type: Acute Care Hospital

Unit: PCU / Stepdown

 

Job Details

This is a travel PCU RN assignment offering competitive weekly pay and a stable night‑shift schedule. Nurses will provide high‑acuity stepdown care, manage complex patient populations, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, effective, patient‑centered care.

 

Openings: 2

Shift: 7p–7a, every other weekend

Hours: 36/week

Start: 08/23/2026 End: 11/21/2026

 

Responsibilities

  • Perform ongoing assessments and reassessments per policy
  • Develop, implement, and revise individualized plans of care
  • Monitor and document patient response to interventions
  • Provide patient and family education
  • Delegate appropriately to licensed and unlicensed staff
  • Support evidence‑based practice and unit quality initiatives
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize outcomes

Required Experience

  • 2 years recent acute inpatient RN experience
  • Prior PCU/Stepdown experience strongly preferred
  • Epic charting experience required

Certifications

Required:

  • BLS (AHA)
  • ACLS (AHA)
  • NIHSS
  • PCU RN Skills Checklist
  • Stepdown/PCU Exam
  • Core Nursing Exam
  • Ishihara Color Vision Screening

Education

  • Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN)
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
