Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse

Job Overview

Location: Dothan, Alabama
Employment type: Travel/Contract
Shift: Night, 4x12 hours, 19:00–07:00
Contract length: 13 weeks
Hours per week: 48
Schedule notes: Every other weekend required; no floating

Role Highlights

Labor and delivery role with OB triage experience highly preferred
Patient population includes labor, antepartum patients from 27 weeks, PIH patients receiving magnesium, and preterm labor patients
Unit responsibilities include NST, continuous fetal monitoring, fetal scalp electrode placement, IV starts, amnioinfusion, assisting anesthesia during epidural placement, and attending C-sections without scrubbing

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Alabama
Labor and Delivery (1 year of experience)
Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
ACLS issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association
BLS issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association
NRP
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Preferred Experience

OB triage experience

Additional Notes

First-time travelers are accepted
