Position Details

  • Position: Emergency Department Registered Nurse (Free-Standing Emergency Department)
  • Contract Length: 6 Weeks
  • Guaranteed Hours: 48 hours/week

Schedule

  • Shift: Nights
  • Hours: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years Emergency Department RN experience
  • Comfortable caring for trauma and high-acuity emergency patients
  • Experience with common ED procedures
  • Flexibility to float to the main Emergency Department if needed
  • Required certifications must be included in the submission packet

Required Experience

  • Emergency Department (ED)
  • Trauma patient care
  • IV insertion
  • Foley catheter insertion
  • NG tube insertion
  • Assisting providers with emergency procedures
  • Ventilator and BiPAP management preferred
  • Point-of-care (POC) lab experience

Required Certifications

  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • PALS
  • TNCC
  • NIHSS

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide emergency nursing care for medical and trauma patients.
  • Perform emergency procedures including IVs, Foley catheter insertion, and NG tube placement.
  • Assist physicians during emergency procedures.
  • Manage cardiac monitoring, respiratory equipment (BiPAP/ventilator), and point-of-care laboratory testing.
  • Document patient care using Meditech.
  • Provide patient-centered care utilizing AIDET and SBAR communication.
  • Float to the main Emergency Department if operationally required.
